Soldering Helping Hands – 4 Flexible Arm PCB Holder for Electronic Repair KSA is a versatile soldering arm that supports printed circuit boards of various shapes and sizes for easy soldering and electronic repairs.
When soldering electronic components, 3 hands are needed: one holding the soldering iron, one holding the solder wire and the third holding the circuit board steady. The two hands are all we have, so if we don’t get it to bend, the circuit board slides, the wire moves or the component drops out in the middle of the solder.

This soldering helping hands station does just that, it is your handy third (and fourth, fifth, and sixth) soldering hand. Four separate flexible arms that provide alligator clamps secure PCB boards, wires, components and connectors precisely where you place them and keep them in place throughout the entire soldering process.

The sturdy table clamp base is attached to any desk edge (5-50 mm thick) and can rotate 360 degrees, giving you a chance to make the arms into any configuration. Flexible goosenecks bend and stay bent at ball-joint segments, allowing parts to be placed at any desired angle, height and orientation for easy soldering access.

Alligator clips provide a secure grip without damage to PCB boards and delicate wires.Alligator clips provide non-damaging, secure clipping of fine and delicate wires and PCB boards. The tension adjustment wrench comes with it to adjust arm stiffness up or down, stiff for heavy PCB boards for solid support, or looser, for lighter wires for gentle positioning.

Uses of Soldering Helping Hands

Attach to Desk: Place the table clamp on the edge of your desk (place where you can access it from all sides). Adjust the clamp screw until the base is securely placed on the desk and cannot move. Test for stability by pressing down on the clamp, if it rocks or moves, it’s not stable.

Mount Arms to Base: Place the ball-socket end of each flexible arm into the holes in the base. Some models have screw-tightened connections, others have push-fit sockets. Be sure to put the arms into a proper lock before loading components.

Add Additional Components: Connect the other 3 arms to add wires, hold connectors, stabilize components or make heat shields. Set up the arms complementary to that to get access to the solder joint from your dominant-hand soldering iron angle.

Soldering Work: Use both hands to hold the soldering iron (dominant hand) and the solder wire (other hand), with the components held in place.
